NEC 1 - 0 De Graafschap

De Graafschap heeft verloren van NEC. In Nijmegen werd het 1-0. Ondanks het overwicht in de tweede helft wisten de Superboeren niet te scoren.
Bij De Graafschap was Steve de Ridder geschorst. Hugo Bargas nam zijn plaats in. Binnen twee minuten waren er twee aanvallen te noteren. Eerst was het de uitploeg waarin Hugo Bargas een hoekschop wist te regelen. Uit de corner kwam weinig dreiging en NEC counterder verder en mocht ook een hoekschop nemen. Na drie voorzetten van Lasse Schne, kopte een vrijstaande Leroy George de 1-0 binnen.
Na een kwartier spelen verliet Tyrone Loran geblesseerd het veld. Het is onduidelijk wat de blessure aan zijn knie is.
Ties Evers, die zich komende week voor het eerst toevoegd bij Jong Oranje, was de vervanger van Loran.
De score werd bijna verdubbeld, daar Rick ten Voorde alleen op doelman Boy Waterman mocht lopen. Mede dankzij een snelle actie van
Purrel Frnkel, werd de tijd om een hoek uit te kiezen lastiger. Met een lob verdween de bal op de bovenkant van de lat.
Namens De Graafschap bracht Bargas met een afstandschot wat gevaar. Ook twee voorzetten van Bargas troffen geen goal.
Yuri Rose raakte de bal verkeerd en bij de tweede voorzet werd geen medespeler gevonden.
In het tweede bedrijf starte de ploeg van coach Darije Kalezic fel. Kleine kansen waren er. Tot in de laatste minuut leek de 1-1 te gaan vallen. Na goed aanvallend werk van invaller

Rogier Meijer voor op Bargas. De aanvaller wist het doel bijna te vinden, maar Jasper Cillessen hield de bal knap uit de hoek.
Door deze 1-0 zege stijgt NEC naar een tiende plaats. De Graafschap blijft veertiende, maar blijft op gelijke hoogte met NAC Breda. Op zaterdag 2 april is uitgerekend de club uit Breda de gastheer op Stadion De Vijverberg.

Somewhere in the "museum" down stairs I have a mask for 3-inch wafers, I think. zonder de Ridder blijkt dat we geen potten kunnen breken, ook tegen een onthutsend zwak NEC, met de Ridder erbij had je gewoon met 4-1 gewonnen,
